Our Philosophy
We started with a simple hope: build a test accurate enough that your result feels like being typed correctly for the first time, the kind of reading where someone finally sees how your mind actually works. That feeling matters to us. It is why we keep going.
Understanding yourself should not sit behind a paywall. Our core assessments are free in full: every item, every score, every interpretation, and every length from a quick read to a deep dive. You can take them without an account, a credit card, or an email address. We are glad you found your way here, and we mean to keep that core experience free.
We also offer a premium tier, and we want to be upfront about that. It helps cover saved history across sessions, deeper analytics, advanced reports, and other features that cost real money to run. We run a practitioner marketplace too, where verified professionals charge for their time because that work has value. None of this is hidden. The tests, the scores, and the interpretations stay free. Premium sits alongside that experience; it is not a gate in front of it.
We build in the open because accuracy only holds up when people can inspect the work. The platform is open source. The response data is open data. The scoring logic is written down where anyone can read it, question it, and challenge it. Items, calibrations, and methods are visible on our Data page. If you want to know how your result was produced, you can follow the trail. We are grateful to everyone who reads the docs, files issues, and helps us stay honest.
The test you take today reflects answers from people who came before you, and your responses help shape what comes next. Each submission feeds calibration. Questions that stop discriminating well, drift from what they were meant to measure, or wear out their welcome get reworked or retired. We are chasing a test that gets sharper with every use, and we thank you for being part of that loop.
We hope you can treat this as a shared record of how people think, decide, and grow. Researchers use it. Practitioners use it. Anyone curious about their own mind can use it. Everyone draws from the same item bank, calibrations, and data. You are a contributor to something that gets a little clearer and a little more accurate every time someone sits down and answers honestly. We do not take that lightly.
Assessment Methodology
Below is how we think about the work in plain language: what we are trying to measure, the rigor behind it, the formats you can choose from, and how to read your results when they come back. Nothing hidden. Just the parts, laid out so you can follow along.
What we measure
A lot of personality tests stop at a surface label and leave you wondering whether it really fits. We want more than that. We measure patterns in how you think, respond, and grow so your result can feel specific enough to recognize yourself in it. That is the bar we are building toward:
- Where your strengths show up most naturally
- Where you may be overusing one pattern or underusing another
- A profile that reflects your individuality, not a generic read
- Likely mismatches when a shallow label misses the nuance
- Clear opportunities for growth based on your actual pattern
Psychometric rigor
We take accuracy seriously because a result only matters if you can trust it. Simple sum-scoring treats every question the same, which is how weak items slip through in tests that look rigorous on the surface. We use modern psychometric models instead, the same kind trusted in well-built standardized testing. Each item is weighted by how difficult it is and how well it separates people at different levels of what we are measuring. That gives you results grounded in what your answers actually support, and gives us a clear way to keep strong questions, improve shaky ones, and remove the ones that no longer earn their place.
- More precise measurement than treating every question equally
- Accounts for item difficulty and discrimination, one question at a time
- Stays useful across the full range of response patterns
- Reduces noise and improves reliability over time
- Gives us a clear basis for improving the item bank continuously
Item Management Dashboard
The Item Management Dashboard is where we turn live answers into a sharper item bank. Every completed assessment adds response data to this workspace. We review how each question performs and decide what stays, what gets revised, and what should leave the bank.
The dashboard tracks response counts, fit scores, discrimination, bias, and IRT parameters for every item. The same aggregate statistics appear on our Data page for anyone who wants to inspect the bank. We publish those numbers because calibration only holds up when the work is visible.
- Every response updates the stats we use to judge item health
- Quality tabs score how closely answers match what we expect for each trait
- IRT and regression views show how sharply an item separates different levels
- Flagged items go into review before they stay in live assessments
- Weak items get rewritten, reweighted, or moved to the archive
Assessment Types
Every format draws from the same calibrated item bank, so short and long tests rest on the same science. Shorter runs trade a little precision for speed. Longer runs ask for more of your time and return more detail. Neither is a lite version of the other. Choose the depth that fits the moment you are in:
Quick Test
24 questions. A fast read when you want a first impression.
Half Test
32 questions. A balanced option with moderate depth.
Full Test
64 questions. Our comprehensive default for a detailed profile.
Masochistic Test
An extended format when you want maximum precision and the most thorough analysis.
Scoring and Interpretation
When you answer a question, you respond on a calibrated scale. Behind the scenes, those answers map onto scored dimensions and become a profile built for you. That profile is not a rank against whoever else took the test this week. It describes your pattern on its own terms. We hope it gives you that moment of recognition, the sense that the result actually saw you.
Every result set includes:
- Personalized dimension scores
- Overall profile summary
- Pattern likelihood estimates
- Common mismatch flags
- Development averages across key areas
- Interpretive analysis you can work with
See if it sees you
Thank you for reading this far. When you are ready, take an assessment, answer honestly, and see whether the result lands. The full profile, interpretation, and logic behind it are yours. It is free, and we mean to keep it that way. No account or credit card required.
